BSMV – A Leading Cultural NGO in Silchar, Assam Driving Arts & Social Change in Northeast India
Introduction: Promoting Culture with Purpose
Beenachchhandam Sangeet Mahavidyalaya (BSMV), established nearly four decades ago in Silchar, is more than just a dance and music academy. With its NITI Aayog NGO Darpan Registration ID – AS/2023/0347538, BSMV is recognized as a leading cultural NGO in Assam, dedicated to preserving Indian classical arts and using them as tools for community development, education, empowerment, and cultural research.
From Kathak and folk traditions to skill development, heritage awareness, and social campaigns, BSMV is one of the few institutions in Northeast India that seamlessly blends arts education with social impact.
