Shri Debatosh Nath is a leading dancer and choreographer in Barak Valley in the classical Indian dance form, Kathak. With extensive training under the eminent gurus of Kathak, Pt. Munna Shukla and Pt. Satish Shukla of Lucknow Gharana, Debatosh is today recognized for his artistry, technique, eloquence and contribution to the field of culture.
His academic accomplishments are awe-inspiring in MA Bengali and MA History. Besides dancing and choreographing classical productions (solo and group), he has also written textbooks on dance and composed many dance dramas to uphold the traditional folk culture of the North East. He is an excellent artist. He has dedicated himself to enriching the lives of students and promoting traditional Kathak dance.

His teaching combines the rigour of traditional Guru-Shishya parampara with modern pedagogical methods to prepare students for both stage and scholarly pursuits.
